WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ALL UNITS AND ACCESSORIES ARE TESTED BEFORE SHIPPING AND ARE IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION. Please note that all units are sent without water. Any water inside the system is only the remaining of the tests done prior to delivery.
If a device is deffective, broken or dammaged once delivered or following delivery, please contact the transport company for a claim before contacting us. Please fill out all necessary claim documents from the transport company and contact Medicam with all related informations and the claim report number for insurance purposes. Medicam will only under these terms and conditions provide the customer with a Return Material Autorisation number (RMA). Please see below for the warranty terms and conditions.
Attention
All operators must receive proper training for treatment technique as well as security measures. Users must pay great attention to the potential danger of intense light beams, lasers or Micro beam units.
Only an authorized technician from our company can repair the unit. Any unit opened by a 3rd party will see its warranty void.
Please read carefully the user manual before use. Only start using it once you fully understand all procedures and once you feel confident using it. Customers choosing not to follow proper training in our facilities will not get our certification and will be held fully responsible should any accident or problems of any kind occur. Please do not start your equipment right after delivery since some remaining water (from tests before shipping) may spill out in the unit and on electronic components. Please allow 24 hours after delivery before 1st use.
Customers choosing not to follow proper training at our training center will not receive any certification from Medicam and will be fully held responsible should any incident or problem occur. Using an equipment without carefully following our guidelines and our user manual may result in serious injury.
Skin-test (Essential)
We highly suggest you a patch test before a full treatment. Ask your patient to come back 2-3 days later, check his/her skin reaction. Always perform the Patch test on a hidden area: Ex: underarm Have your patient fill out a consent form and a medical form release. Make sure that your patient is not under medication or at least under photo sensible medicine. Try to avoid anyone under medication and if you have any doubts, DO NOT TREAT THE PATIENT.
General conditions
If you have tried a product and it is defective, we will offer you an exchange in the first 10 days. If you are willing to upgrade your equipment in the first 60 days following delivery of your equipment, we will charge you only for the difference in price between your equipment and the new one at the suggested retail price plus shipping and handling fees. We will give you the opportunity to upgrade your equipment between 61 and 180 days after delivery of the equipment by giving you a credit corresponding to 50% of your original purchase price less delivery fees for a brand new equipment at the suggested retail price.
Medicam Inc. offers a 12 months limited warranty on parts and labor. The warranty is not transferable. We highly suggest the customer to contact us for the existing warranty transfer conditions. Warranty will be void for any misuse, abuse or damage done to the unit or any of its components. Consumables are not guaranteed and have a limited life. The equipment itself is fully covered under warranty. Accessories such as handpieces and crystals have a limited warranty : if a handpiece is guaranteed for 200 000 shots and a problem occurs after 100 000 shots, the customer will have to pay 50% of the replacement to get a brand new one. In that case, the retail price of a handpiece is $3,750.00, the customer will only pay the used portion of the handpiece life (50%) : $1,875.00 and will receive a brand new handpiece. Please note that Medicam is the only Manufacturer to offer a warranty on the accessories since in general, no warranty whatsoever is given on accessories.
At 1st use and when water is purged from the system, fill up the water tank with distilled water and start the unit. Approximately 1 minute later, stop the unit and add water again in the water tank since some of the water flew inside the handpiece water system. Before adding water, check the unit water level.

Distributors or clients using parts and consumables with respecting the replacement time frame will see their warranty void. Water must be changed and/or added on a regular basis. Not doing so may also void the warranty. Competitors and other manufacturers never warrent handpieces and crystals. Medicam, however, offers a limited warranty.
2nd and 3rd year extended warranty (if purchased) will only be limited to major parts : Light source, Electric power supply, water tank. Touch screen, Handpiece, water caps, etc… must be replaced afer a certain period of time because of normal use. The Distributor/Client must send back the unit to Medicam Inc. ( shipping fees at the Distributor/customer charge and prepaid shippng fees to return the unit at the Distributor/client expense by express shipping with a tracking number) for a 1 week period (7 open days) for a full clean up and a control, once the 1st year and twice a year the following years for a full cleanup and a preventive maintenance.
All distributors/customers MUST send by email or fax their unit(s) meter readings the last day of each month to keep their warranty active.
The warranty card delivered with each unit MUST be returned as soon as possible (upon reception of the unit (s) to activate the warranty.
AN INVOICE FOR A 1 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL BE SENT OUT AT THE END OF THE 8TH MONTH OF THE INITIAL WARRANTY PERIOD. THE DISTRIBUTOR/CUSTOMER WILL HAVE THE CHOICE TO PAY FOR IT OR NOT BUT KEEPING THE UNIT UNDER SERVICE CONTRACT WOULD BE A SMART CHOICE. 100% COVERAGE FOR NORMAL USE AND THE RIGHT TO BENEFIT FROM THE UPGRADE PROGRAM FOR ONE MORE YEAR BY ASSUMING ONLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH EQUIPEMENTS.
Any extended warranty must be purchased before the 1st day of the 10th month following the purchase of the unit.
Any overused unit should be upgraded to prevent the warranty cancellation.
In case of a problem with your unit, please contact us for an RMA number. Please fax or email a clear and complete description of the problem with a copy of your invoice. Any unit returned without an RMA will be refused by Medicam and the distributor/customer will be 100% responsible for any additional damage to the unit or the loss of the unit by the transport company.
Not providing a copy of the invoice may cause some unwanted delays. Please include a fax number so that we can forward an approved RMA number, the packing instructions and the return address. If a fax number is not available, please provide an email adress.
The distributor/customer may inquire for an equipement exchange (EX-RMA) and repair under warranty (WR-RMA) by email or fax.
For the protection of Medicam Inc., branches or affiliates as well as for the distributor/client, correct and proper packing instructions and RMA procedures must be respected to avoid any potential or additional damage.
At no time and under no circumstances any distributor/client will be entitled to a partial or full refund. All units must be returned in their original packaging for a repair or an exchange.
1. Customer is required to apply for a RMA number (Returned Material Authorization), which will be issued at Medicam’s sole discretion.
2. For any defective unit delivered, all items must be accompanied by the original invoice and a clear description of the problem and a fax number or an email address.
3. Once the inspection of the unit will be final, a detailed estimate will be sent before any repair. The price will include parts and labor.
4. Claims must be made maximum 5 days following delivery.
5. If returned products are claimed to be defective, a complete written description of the nature of the defect must accompany all returned products. Items not eligible for return or sent back by the customer without an RMA number will be returned to customer, transportation collect and not accepted by Medicam at the sole risk of the customer.
Shipping is not refundable. Exceptions to RMA program such as Opened/Used Hand Pieces, Crystals, etc…: may not be returned, by law. Items will be repaired or replaced in accordance to manufacturer’s warranties. Before connecting the hand piece, activating the unit, adding water, unwrapping the crystals, etc…, we suggest that you check the shipping container and packing list to verify that you have received exactly what you ordered. Special Order Items: may not be returned (includes items that were modified, customized, or changed while in the custody of the customer). Textbooks/Instruction Literature, Operation Manual: may also be returned. Expired/Discontinued Items: may not be returned (articles which cannot be returned to the manufacturer).
Before 1st use, connect correctly the accessories, install a power surge and a spike suppressor (see below), check your main electric fuse box for the proper amperage, check the voltage of your unit at the back of the machine (some units are made in 110V and others at 220 volts, 50 or 60 HTZ), add distilled water in equipments that require it, strictly follow the user manual requirements.
Make sure that you order your new unit with the proper voltage (voltage being different in some countries).

All units have to be protected with a proper power surge device and a spike suppressor and never be plugged directly in the wall outlet in order to protect the electronic components from electrical intensity variations. All requirements from Medicam Inc or any of its distributors or subsidiaries have to be respected. Please check all requirements in the user manual. Non respect of any clause of the requirements will void the warranty at the sole responsibility of the client
It may happen that a manual has not been yet translated in the customer’s language but is available in another language. If that is the case, the distributor/client will not be entitle to any partial or full refund and Medicam Inc., its branches or affiliates will not partially or fullly refund the distributor/customer. The distributor/customer will allow a reasonnable period of time to have the user manual translated.
We highly suggest that the distributor/customer order consumables at 50% of their yield life to avoid any delivery delays or back orders and to avoid postponing or cancelling customer’s appointments. Always switch off the unit if it is not in use. Any machine should be switched off for 10 minutes after a 30 minutes use to cool down.
Medicam Inc warrants the customer that products purchased hereunder will conform to the applicable manufacturer’s specifications for such products.

The terms and conditions may not be modified or cancelled without Medicam Inc. written agreement. The sale of products hereunder will be governed by the terms and conditions, notwithstanding contrary or additional terms and conditions in any purchase, planning schedule, acknowledgement, confirmation or any other form or document issued by either party effecting the purchase and/or sale of products. Medicam Inc reserves the right to adjust, modify, add or cancel any term, add modify or cancel any clause and/or conditions of any kind, adjust or increase or decrease prices, upgrade any equipment, accessory or software, replace, upgrade or downgrade any equipment or accessory, discontinue any equipment with no prior notice to the distributor/client. Medicam also reserves the right to adjust at any time the exchange rates with no prior notice to the distributor/client.
